drilling out the intake holes
Ok I want to put my 89 intake on the 85-86 heads. I have read all i can "searches", and need one last push be fore i drill it out. What do you guys think? No harm? Goo it up real good with RTV, na don't sweat it? THanks for prompt responses. shawn

I did this. No, it wont do much harm. Drill/grind the bolt holes out untill they allow the bolts to make the correct angle to screw into the older style heads. Also a good idea to make some angled washers so the bolt heads have a flat surface to sit on when theyre tightend rather then jsut having the very edge of the bolt head make contact with the intake.
