Heres the specs from Mortec.
1969-1980
Gm4
397-0010....350ci...1969-1980...2 or 4
350 = 4.000" x 3.48" (Gen.I, 5.7" rod)
Gen.I, "Medium Journal",
350...Mains-2.45"-Rods-2.10"
The GM4 was on the side of the block. Does that mean its a 4 bolt main? I havnt checked anything i just got it from a friend as birthday present. Also any suggestion are taken for best place to get rebuild kits and gaskets.

I am almost positive it doesnt designate it as a 4 bolt. Not saying that it might not be a 4 bolt, just that GM4 doesnt always equal 4 bolt.
Youll just have to look at the main caps, did you get a complete motor given to you, or a shortblock?? Either way (2 bolt or 4 bolt) you can build as much power as youll need for the street with it...

A block is not cast as "2-bolt" or "4-bolt". A block is just a block; the factory installs whichever main caps they decide they want on it. There's no marking on the outside that tells you for sure that it's a 2- or 4-bolt.
A;though, usually, blocks that went into trucks had 4-bolt cpas put in them; so if you decode the stamping on the deck right in front of the pass side head, and it turns out to be from a truck, it probably has 4-bolt caps on it.
It's not something to get very concerned about though.
010 is an extremely common 70s block. Like all 70s blocks, there were major quality control issues in mfg them; the 2 most common are The Starter Problem, where the starter bolt holes are drilled too far from the crank which makes the starter grind, this one affects between a quarter and a third of them to some degree; and The Lifter Bore Problem, where one or more ifter bores don't point correctly at the cam, and so the block eats cams. Check it carefully for both of those things. If they're OK, you might have a good builder block.
