bumping noise coming from middle area of car

help! When my camaro slows down and is just about to stop I get a bumping or knocking noise coming from the mid area. This is annoying. This same problem happened on a trans am. I would appreciate any help. The tranny mount has already been changed to energy product.

That's why I'm thinking like KeyZ is; the torque arm mount. Either that, or there's some bolts loose in the area of the crossmember/trans mount/torque arm mount, and the trans is moving around.

It's deffinately not the tranny mount. The only time it would seperate is when accelerating. Not slowing down. I can personally vouch for this. Right now mines broke.
