Dual Tanks FP ?

Sorry its not F-Bod related but im kinda in a bind. The vehicle is a 87' Silverado. Its a 350 TBI w/700r4. The question is that it has dual tanks and it isnt getting any fuel to the TB. If it is the FP that has went out, does it have 1 FP in each tank, or does it have 1 In-Line pump pulling from both tanks?

WAG, it should have a pump in each tank and a by pass valve. it could be diverting fuel to the tank not being used.

The tank selector switch sometimes gets hung up but iv'e fooled with it and still cant get nothing. Do the tanks bleed over?
