HEAD QUESTION

Recently I pulled my plugs to check them, and they were all covered in oil. There was no oil on the combustion chamber side just on the plug wire side. I think the oil may have poured in there while I was setting the lash on my rods, but i'm not sure. There was a substancial amount of oil on every plug. Do I need new heads? Is there a good way to check?

Doesn't sound like a head problem at all. You either spilled a lot of oil down the heads while adjusting your lash, or you have some seriously leaky valve cover gaskets!

Cool thanks pat. Any ideas on getting the oil out or can I just let it burn off.

why are you setting lash on a hydraulic cammed engine (I assume by rods you mean pushrods?). Here's what I think happened, you have leaky valve covers and thats where the oil is coming from.
