Cylinder Haed Question

Hello,
I am currently rebuilding an engine for a freind of mine. It is a 1969 Chevy truck with a 307 in it. I need to buy heads for it as they are cracked. I want to put a little better head in them but he don't want to put much money into it. I need some sugestions on where to buy some complete heads that are ready to bolt on. I know it isn't a Camaro questions but hey, it is still a chevy product so any help I can get would be great. I really don't trust any rebuilders around here and they want about 600 bucks to find a used set and rebuild them. Thanks for your help.

any SBC head would bolt up. due to the small bore of the 307 i'd think you'd want to look for 305 heads

Here are another set of heads that would work nicely on a 307.

they are 305Vortec heads. They will improve the power
and torque of the 307.

these heads require a Vortec style intake manifold.

Here's a set of rebuilt/upgraded 305 heads for your 307.

Just right
