steering problem!

i have a89 formula and it has wonderfully a speed sensitive steering unit. i need to replace the high pressure line of the power steering unit but the hose is for that damn speed sensitive steering and it is very very expensive is ther any way to put a regular hose on there froma any other application(car)? the regular one for a firebird will not fit at all!!!

1989 firebird formula

Mods: converted from T.B.I. to a carburator 305 to a 350. Flowmater exhaust,hedman shortie hedders,202 heads,350 horse cam,bored.40 over, Edlebrock torker2 intake.

Future mods performer rpm air gap intake (polished) and 600 edlebrock carb, comp roller cam, and way better headsa 400 defintely in the works!

Burn,

I'm not sure what you call "very, very expensive" but you can make your own hose for about twenty bucks, complete with high-pressure hose and standpipe fittings to match the pump and steering box.
