Steering Column
Steering Column
Will the tilt steering column from an 86 Z-28 drop straight into my 69? If not, what mods do I have to do to get it to fit? Thank you for any assistance!

I wouldn't bet on it, but let us know. The lower dash mount is likely quite a bit different, but you might be able to exchange brackets. The lower universal connection double-flat shaft is probably a different size, but I'm not certain. The electrical connectors are definitely different, however.

The tilt column from a 70-81 Camaro will bolt up using your original 69 cradle bracket. I had one bolted up in my 69 a few years ago. These columns are about as common as field mice in any junkyard.
