What else is there to do to a 92 RS??

I'm just wondering what other mods there is to do to a 92 Camaro with a 305 TBI? I do not want to do anything too drastic such as heads, cam, or headers. It already has 3.23 gears, Hypertech chip, 8.8MM wires, Super coil, Cat back flowmaster exhaust, Open element air filter, fan switch, 160 degree stat, and pulleys. Can anyone give me any suggestions of what I can do thats not too drastic for I want to keep it mostly original?

Only thing that I noticed helped a hell of a lot was making the engine run at about 120 degrees.

Well you can try for a suspension upgrade since your car has added some "non"original upgrades already.
Just an opinion, but hope it helps.DUECE

there are several things you could do. but it depends on emissions testing in your area.

Suspension, and if you dont want heads, cam, etc... N20 is always an option.

I'm not really worried about that. If it was easy to take off I would just take it off before I took the tests. What are your ideas?

A new intake might be a nice mod. Thats not too drastic. Wish I have done it to mine when I had it apart.

Also, why do you consider headers a drastic mod? They are considered bolt on.

Here is what I did to mine:

TPI heads w/ comp cam magnum rockers
L98 cam
Hooker Super Comp headers/3" cat/Borla catback
L69 dual snorkel
160* t-stat
Accel 8mm wires

I didn't want to do headers since everywhere I went wanted atleast like 500 bucks to put them on. Then I was affraid it wouldn't pass emissions after I got them on. How much hp you think I would get off the intake?

headers aren't hard to install yourself, if you have some patience, and some simple tools.

installing headers is very easy to do. shouldn't take more than a few hours.

there really isn't too much you can screw up either, if thats what your worried about.

and as long as you get a set of emissions legal headers with AIR tubes, and fittings for the O2 sensors, they are emissions legal, and you shouldn't have any problem at all getting through emissions. hooker 2055's come with a CARB EO sticker.

nitrous also is a good option. easy to install, easy to hook up, even easier to uninstall.

full roller rockers are also a good upgrade. and are emissions legal (not that insepction is going to pull off the valve covers to check) most brands that rocker will also include a CARB EO sticker, comp does for sure.

full synthetic oil(such as mobol 1) from bumber to bumber(engine, tranny, differential) frees up lost horsepower. plus i'm not even going to get into the advanatages of synthetic over dino (standard petroleum oil).

suspension mods make a huge difference.

lower control arms, LCA relocation brackets, panhard bar, wonder bar, subframe connectors.

theres tons of things you can do, all will make nice improvements, and most things are relativly easy for anyone to install.

if your looking for fast cheap and easy performance, nothing is beats nitrous.

only problem is, filling up a nitrous bottle to the tune of $35 a fill, can get old quick.

I got he Hooker 2055's (Super Comps). They are emissions ready with O2 sensor bung and air tubes that match up very nicely. I'll have to get them hooked up one of these days.

do the ultimate tbi mods. ppl generaly have mixed feelings on its performance gains, but i noticed a nice SOTP difference. burn your own chips. even on a stock engine, you will see some empressive performance gains. dewey316 is perfect example of that. i think his is about as stock as yours, and i think he dropped his ETs a GOOD bit just by doing some serious chip tuning. and ffs dont let it run at 120*. your computer isnt in closed loop at that point. it might feel good in the low to mid rpm range, but your killin what little bit of top end the poor little LO3 has, as well as fuel economy. i know from experience. go with a 170*-180*. as far as i know, those are the optimal heat ranges for these engines. plz, put some headers on that poor thing so it can breath. good luck
