electric fans
electric fans
I have dual electric fans, I think the turn-on for the first one is somewhere around 200? and 226 for the second fan, the drivers side fan is supposed to turn on first, but it never comes on causing my car to heat up, I think the fan motor might have burnt out or maybe a problem with a relay? how do i check to see if its the motor or something else?

I think the turn on points are more like 220 and 240 something. Anyway, the other thing to check is that with the A/C on, your drivers side fan should come on. If not, as suggested previously could be either the relay or fan motor.

Also, the second fan needs three conditions: 1) Low pressure switch on
2) A/C is turned on
3) Coolant temp > 151*C (stock).
The first fan will not come on until 228*F, unless you alter the eprom. With A/C, #1 Fan will also turn on if the A/C is on and the speed < 37 mph.
