Stock vs aftermarket TPI with supercharger

If I plan on installing a supercharger, does it really matter that much if I use the stock TPI intake or go with an aftermarket one like the Superram? I ask because if its under pressure, will the stock one still be that restrictive? Would this be a major difference in power, or just slight (because of boost)?

Depends on the blower. Paxton6psi sn2000 -ATI P1SC 9psi are meant for stock motors. (anything over 9 isnt to safe on a stock bottom anyway) .

Modified engines (heads, intake) will produce less boost with these same blowers. Unmodified engnies produce advertised boost usually.

If you plan to go all out, you should look into the D1SC.

From what I understand, a stock or a ported TPI system will work better than an aftermarket TPI like the super ram. I don't exactly remember why but I do remember reading something about the time it takes to get pressure in the system. The blower has to move more air to fill up the SuperRam than it does for a standard TPI. I think it was in one of the last 2 issues of GM High Performance. Hope that helps!
