Installing a Digital Dash!

I recently found a Trans Am for sale and I will be acquiring it soon! It's an '87 or '88 I belive! Anyhow, I plan on removing the Transmission and using it in my car....selling the TPI out of it....and junking the 305! I'll probably hang on to the wheels as well but as for the body, I'm not keeping it! Well, this car has a digital dash.....one of the very few that had it! I would like to swap the digital dash out of this car and into my '86 Trans Am! I know the computer chips in the '86-'88 or '89 are the exact same chips so does this mean I can just take the dash and swap it into mine w/out swapping the computer?? What all would I need to swap? Wiring harness maybe also?? If anybody has any insight or suggestions about this topic please let me know!

4 Wheel Discs
9 bolt Borg Warner Rear

Soon to upgrade to a 383 stroker w/TPI, pocket ported 64CC heads, ported intake, comp cam, TPI air foil, Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, possibly bigger injectors!
Current project: Keeping my car running until I get the money for the above mentioned project! :-)
