Big Starting Problem
OK here's my prob: Last year or so when i go to start my car it takes a dozen times of turning the key before it would start. Each time my starter would click on. Now it wont start at all. I checked the battery, replaced the positive and negative cables, took out the starter and had it tested(was good). Everything powers up inside. I heard it could be a fuseable link? or the ignition switch. I have a 91 so I cant replace the switch myself due to the airbag and I dont know where the fuseable links to my starter are. Anyone have a suugestion before I have to take it in and spend big $$?

The fusible links are on the wires going to your starter solenoid. You can remove the airbag from the steering wheel yourself if you are so inclined. First disconnect the battery, on the backside of the steering wheel are four bolts. remove them and gently pull the airbag out far enough to see behind it. There is a wire harness attached to the airbag, disconnect it and finish removing the airbag. Be careful doing this and have your face turned away just in case.

soooo.... do you mean it cranks over and wont start?
or do you mean it wont even click/or turm over??
My car had a problem of putting the key in the ignition
and turn it foward and all the instrument panel lights would come on but the car would not turn over....My problem was that the security piece on the key was worn down, and I have to push the key in hard and hold it in while turning it foward then it will start!
Im not saying thats it but just letting you know incase thats what it was doing...let me know what its not doing exactly..later dude
