replacin belts

well im looking to change my alternator/fan belt. The piece that looks adjustable from side to side is the piece I loosen up right? After that I just take off the old belt and replace it with the new one right. Simple??

not sure if thats how to do it. Figured id double check

Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42

You have to loosen the bolt the alt. pivots on also. Otherwise it won't move.
