how to properly vent my gas tank

i removed my EVAP system, and i am in the middle of replacing my fuel pump

while undoing the fuel lines at the tank, the black plastic EVAP vent that looks like a flying saucer snapped in half from old age

what is the proper way for me to vent my gas tank now?

thanx

You could also run a line from the tank to the outside of your car.
