LT1 with Al heads, putting a carb on instead of injection.
What is a reccomendation for the size carb? Should I expect to gain or lose HP?

 

if it basically a stock(ish) type motor id use a 650 or bigger....the tranny will determine what type or secondaray is best for you

im running a carbed LT1/4 (the only one on this board i beleive) with a 650 DP...headers dual exhaust just simple stuff...havent put a cam in it yet...

the only carbed intake for the LT1 motors is a dual plane...its supposed to support 450-500 ponies ported out, but judging by the ports i think its a bit conservative....anyway, with just an intake swap on a stock motor, it will perform very simialr to the injected version...probly flow a little less down low and a little more up top...

ill tell you how she runs once i get my timing issue handled...but from what ive "tasted" it will run very well
