High Idle!!!
High Idle!!!
Well, After chasing my no.5 header tube glowin read, I had taken my drivers side head off, had a leak down test preformed and the head showed no sighns of problems. I reassembled the engine, started it,,,,,,,,,it was idling at about 2500-2000rpms?
I thought it was becasue I re-used the runner gaskets, so I replaced them. That did no help! I did get a code 33 (map sensor). I have an extra map sensor and repaced it, but still no change! H E L P!please! I have checked for vacume leaks and have found nothing?????? What can casue the engine TPI to idle so high?
Thanks for the help! looked all night in the archives and found some good sutff, however, need some help:hail:

"Code 33: Manifold Abosolute Pressure sensor signal high, low vacuum... Set when vacuum is less then 9 inHg for more then 5 secs."
Check to make sure there are no vacuum leaks. Also check that the vacuum line for the MAP is hooked up correctly and on its on vacuum port. You can double check by hooking up a vacuum gauge and seeing what the engines vacuum is. If it still pulls ok vacuum then the map is probably hooked up incorrectly.

Found the problem! I have the slp runners and put them on opposite sides
