A.I.R and emission tests!

My buddy who's got an IROC 87TPI failed his first emission test here in toronto. He's air tubes are removed but he kept the pump on the car and the line from the cat is still in the engine bay but plugged.
Anyway, he ran a piece of tubing from the Air pump directly to the line-to-the-cat and whamo!, he passed!

FWIW, I've taken everything A.I.R. off of the exaust except the pump. I replaced my gutted cat with a CATGO cat, tube port blocked, and passed emmisions without a problem.

The key to passing an emmisions inspection is the converter.
