Need Help! (Loose Steering Wheel)

I recently took my car to a shop and he told me the steering wheel had some play in it after an alignment had been done. He said the gear box needed adjusting. I said ok. I took it for a 2nd opinion and he said that it was actually the rag joint or the steering ujoint that was probably bad and not the gear box. So my question is;If its the steering shaft and not the gear box does anyone sell a kit to rebuild the shaft or am I just gonna have to settle for a another steering wheel assy? I really would like to keep my existing wheel and just rebuild it. Any help would be "MOST" greatful.tia.

You can always get one from a junker.

Your Frame could be cracked by your steering box, happens lots. You could get a wonder bar (Steering Brace) That might stiffen her up.

If its something as simple as the U or Rag joint. If you dont mind pulling it, So can always get new sleeves or whatever that junk is called. Dont know too much about steering, but you did say ANY help would be Most greatful.

You can get a new elastomer steering shaft coupling (rag joint) from many auto parts stores or the dealership. Look in the HELP! section at parts stores.

Thanks, Actually, I thought I saw a complete rebuilt steering wheel rebuild kit that had all pieces in there from the wheel to the rag joint.
