all the camaros i've had it's been on the inner right fender. looks the same as what vader posted. pontiac seems to have their battery location all backwards.

If the fuse is good then it could be the fuel pump relay on the drivers side firewall, those can go bad too and usually only cost about $10.

That's always been somewhat of a mystery to me, too. For two cars moving down the same assembly line, getting the same parts, with the same basic body, one would thing that there would be less variation in the location of such items, like the battery, air filter, relays, etc. There must have been some reason for this, but I can't fathom it.

The thing I don't understand abou tthe battery location, is why? The starter is on the opposite side! You would think they would keep the battery on the same side as the starter, making the cable length as short as possible!
I'm sure they had a reason though!
