Problems starting
I can't get my car to start for the life of me. I've had it for about 6 months, most of which it sat, unused except for the occasional start up, or junkyard run. I started working on it last week, it started fine. Yesterday, it stopped. The battery has died, and it won't even start when jumped. It starts to turn over, and stops after a second or two. It's really frusturating, I've checked the wires from the battery to the alternator and to the starter motor, all of which are fine. I'm at my wits end here, can anyone help me out? The car is an 87 Z28, CC-Q Jet, mostly stock... Thanks

It sounds like your battery is shot or it needs more charging. Let it charge for 10 min. while jumping it before you try to start it. Also make sure you didn't leave anything on in the car like a map light.

Ok, here's the weird part, the battery was new when I bought the car, six months ago and hardly used since then. I hope that's not the case, but I do have the recipt if it is so. Oh well. The gauge reads 13 while its being jumped, but I only waited about 3 minutes before trying to start. I'll try waiting longer, thanks.
