i just wanted to know cause i got some new 8mm wires for my camaro also do i even have an h o coil i have a 85 i roc z28 and i also want to get a new distributor cap

That would probably be a "high output" ignition coil. If you have the stock coil, you probably don't have one. If you have an '85, it really doesn't matter since you have the coil in the distributor cap, hence, no coil wire.

Packard Electric makes some nice 8mm silicone wires for your engine.

so if i replace the whole distributor cap then i won't have to replace the h o coil and how much are caps usally?

 

caps are about 10-20 $ and theyre redily avaliable and you dont have a high output (hot) coil from the fcatory.
