what kind of bolts for engine stand. ><

I just bought http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=4420
to work on my first rebuild of a 454 BBC.

My quick question is what kind of bolts do I need to buy to attach the engine to the stand?

I think I know the answer but I figured I'd ask you guys before I drop a big block on myself .

thanks!

3/8's coarse by 2.5-3" i think they be. should be same bolt size and thread pitch as a small block. get grade 8 bolts.

I also found it best to get a bunch of washers or spacers along with the bolts, to get the best depth.
I use grade 8 as a minimal, and I don't care what any yahoo says about overkill, cause it's not there a** getting crushed cause a cheat grade 3 or 5 fastener brakes. In fact the next time I pull the engine, I might just get some ARP 8740's
