Ok got pulled over coming home tonight. Headlight is out. Investigated it when I got home...its the new light I installed last week. Ok...wiring seems good. Turn on the bright lights and WALLAAA all 4 lights work. The pass side low beam will not work unless I turn on the bright lights.

I'm assuming this is the headlight switch. What do you all think?

 

One of two things...a bad connection to the low beam tab on that headlight, or the low beam filament has burned out.
Check for voltage on the plug.

 

yeah, no way it's the switch. start poking around with a test light and see what you have and where at. i'll bet it's a bad connection on the low side.

 

I am going to check that soon as I get home from school today. Maybe the tab is bad. The connectors look like they have seen better days. I may have to pick a new connector up and splice it in.

I'm guessing there is 2 hot wire connections on the low beam? Because 1 prong has to be for the normal switch, while one is for the brights, then of course a ground.

 

Im retarded...I didn't relize that the low beams on our cars are double filaments....it was just the bulb im retarded lol.
