Oil Light

My oil light started comming on when the engine hits around 4500 rpm. I checked the oil and there was enough. It has good oil pressure too. Any ideas? Hoping its not a cracked block. Or maby that is a good reason to get a 350!
p.s. it is an lg4

85,

I'd start looking at the sensor. If that is O.K., you might have some problems with sludge buildup in the case that is inhibiting oil drainback. The higher RPM requires more oil flow, and the pump might be starved for oil if the pan isn't staying full.
