Yes, I have done a search on this and found some useful info, but I have some specific questions.

I want to get everything out of my 305 TBI and was thinking about installing some unerdrive pulleys.

Is this a good Idea for a daily driver?

Will underdriving my water pump affect my cooling?

How much of a difference will this have on they effectivness of my AC?

Can I offset the lost of amperage on my altenator by buying an optima battery?

Does anyone have underdrive pulleys on their daily driver?

 

I just bought a set of polished aluminum March pulleys yesterday. From my understanding, the car might run cooler with the underdrive pulleys on there...because it won't be pushing the coolant right through the radiator as quickly. It will allow the coolant to cool longer. But that might just be speculation. Either way, they're lighter, look better, can't hurt right

As for volts, if my car doesn't charge good when I put the March alt. pulley on, i'll just put the stock one back on the alternator for now. Then I'll buy a bigger alternator and see what happens.
