More help guys!

I have everything I think I need to swap my stock aircleaner for a open-element, but I have some concerns, such as this line from the "ultimate TBI" article: "To accomplish this mod the vacuum line to the thermac must be plugged, the IAT (Intake air temperature) sensor must be removed from the stock aircleaner. It can be relocated to the open element base but is not necessary. Power may be gained by relocating to a cool area."
Ok, so which of the tubes coming out of the bottom of the stock aircleaner is the Vacum Line? And what is the best way to plug it? And should both of the sensors on my stock aircleaner be mounted into the open element aircleaner? I thought this mod would be simple! Thanks for any input.

I'm assuming you have the TBI, the vac line you are looking for comes from the front of the TBI on the right side. When I removed the stock air cleaner, I simply capped that vac port. Then relocated the IAT near the fire wall, and cable tied it there. The thermac sensor is still in the stock air cleaner, didnt need it as I was running a heat tube any longer.

Well, I figured the vacum line thing out, but are the 2 other sensors necessary? I've already driven the car without them at all, and there seems to be no problem, the car Idles normally and everything. I guess the IAT is the smaller of the 2 sensors, inside the stock air cleaner, what will happen if I just don't put it back in? And yes I do have the TBI....I thought it was in my sig but it isn't....and thanks

Why don't you try to find a factory air cleaner at a junkyard and cut the metal off until the aircleaner? This works well and it keeps the sensors intact. Just plug the Thermac vaccum hose with a screw.
