car revving and idleing high

well guys my car wouldn't start, i replaced the starter solonoid and it starts. now heres the problem i have to pump my gas to get it to start (its fuel injected) and when i do it revs up to 1500 then drops to 1250 and varies between that and 1000rpm.

before my solonoid went it idled at 750 all the time, nicely not rough like it is now.

my cars a v6 2.8 ltr mpfi

any ideas where to start?

try resetting your ecu by disconnecting the battery if you havent already done that. then allow it to "re-learn" the variables which could take driving it for up to several hours before its fully up to par again.
