89 iroc z 5.7
Could anyone let me know how I could tell the diffence between the 320 hp 89 iroc 5.7 and the 330 89 iroc 5.7? I'm having trouble trying to explain this to people.

Engine: LT1 w/ headers, catback, CAI, tune
Transmission: 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.23s
Don't know where you were getting those numbers, but they're way off. HP is either 230 or 240, difference being the dual catalytic converter setup, which is plainly visible if you look under the car.
Perhaps the 300s numbers you were thinking of were the torque numbers although you're still off. They were 330 and 345, again the higher rating going to the dual cat car.
The dual cat car also came w/ 3.27 gears instead of 2.77s, it is definitely the one to get...

There is some excellent base information on the models/years in the Tech Articles if you hunt it down. The details of the differences are listed for most years. If you have the lower-output 350, it's fairly easy to change to the higher output design. If you have the higher output design, it's also fairly easy to increase teh power and torque over what the GM Powertrain guys designed in...
