Rear end leaking

The front of my rear end is leaking, right where the driveshaft meets it. How many seals are in there? The mechanic's telling me 2, but I only see one in the chilton manual. It doesn't look that hard to replace, he's saying $200. What do ya'll think. BTW, it's a 89 iroc, 305, manual, w/3.08's I believe.

There is a seal underneath the companion flange. You can replace it but you need a yoke holder. The procedure is 1 disconnect the driveshaft. 2. mark the pinion nut location on the yoke. 3 remove the nut using the yoke holder and a breaker bar and a 3 foot pipe and count the number of turns it takes to remove. THIS MUST BE EXACT 4 Take the yoke off and r&r the old seal 5 replace the yoke, it most likely won't just slide all the way on. 6 put the old pinion nut back on the # of truns it took to remove and tighten it ~one more flat. 7 replace driveshaft The purpose if counting the turns of the pinion nut and adding a flat is to make sure the crush sleeve will be properly preloaded. This can only be done once. After that the crush sleeve will require replacement. To add the flat or so rotation to the pinion nut will require ~300lb-ft so good luck! If I wasn't clear on anything tell me. $200 wouldn't be bad if this would be a driveway job for you.
