fuel reg.
i have a 89 RS 2.8L and it wont start it used to run fine but then one day i went out to start it and it woudnt it sounds like its flooded because every once awhile it trys but no go. and i see that there is raw fuel pouring out of the pressure reg. on the vaccum side and the car is FI and hints?????????
If the regulator is leaking, fuel is getting sucked into the intake and flooding the engine. You need to replace the regulator and change your oil because it is contaminated with fuel. <---Not good.

The diaphram in the regulator has gone south for the duration. Go to AutoZone and get a new one for $24.95 + tax. The part number is GP-Sorenson 800 122. Beats replacing the whole fuel rail.
