New Cam, rich idle, adjust timing which way?

New Cam, rich idle, adjust timing which way?

Timing is only roughly in place, car still being restored but would like to adjust timing slightly to rid the rich idle. Which way do I move the distributer, and do I make it more advanced or more retarded?
