which pertronix coil

ok i got a 82 z28 with a coil-n-cap distributor and i was wondering which coil i should purchase the

pnx-d3000 or the pnx-d3001 (at summit)

whats the difference, just so i know what im buying

I would say that the one that says it's for the Corvette and the olds and Buick is the one you need IF you have a computer controlled distributor. The other coil is the one I have for a 70's style HEI with mechanical and vacuum advance.
