ok i've been wokring on my car alot latley just got her 84 z28 with a 350 carb. but for some reason when i floor her she bogs down the started to sputer and then slowly picks up i let off on the gas about half way the pump her then it reves ever slow slowy i don't know why it would be doing that i know i'm running low on gas cause i've just been going around the block cause not insured and tabs are bad so yeah any help would be appricated

 

first thing i would is check your fuel filter. It should be located by your carb and takes 5 minutes to change. Mine did the same thing, i was always punching it and when i upshifted to 2nd gear it would only go to about 50mph then it bogged until i let off the gas. When i replaced the fuel filter and tested it out and went down the block and punched it. I was going around 75mph in 2nd gear then finally shifted to drive and keep going like a champ!
