ok heres the deal i have a extra 130$ to spend on a upgrade. and i have came down to 2 decisions! i'm getting either:
a: a new PROFORM ignition upgrade part#778-66945rc through jegs high performance! it re-builds you hei dis. completely.
b: a edlebrock performer rpm intake. available at any parts store!
any and all opinons would be of great help i really dont know which would be more benefical to my engine. can anyone give me theyre opions ? read my signature to help you decide! the hei is completly stock with the medium springs in a advance curve kit avaliable at any parts store! also if i get the ignition kit do i need really expensive wires? i had the accel super stock spiral core 8mm wires and they went to **** in a year!

I'd go with the intake. It should give you more bang for the buck than the ignition will.

If I am wrong, believe me, I'll be corrected. An ignition, unless you're upgrading from a points system to an electronic system, isn't going to give you much noticable pep on the street.
My auto experience doesn't come from Camaros, they're new to me, but the principles of gasoline engines are all pretty much the same....
Many studies show that hotter or bigger spark doesn't affect anything at all. (there are plenty of studies by the manufacturers that state different, but who's trying to make money on the research?)More important is how the air/fuel mixture is inducted into the piston, in another words......high rise intake=cooler fuel mixture=more explosive ignition.....ported and polished heads with larger valves and a cam to match=more fuel mixture swirled in nicely=more powerful explosion and then the evacuation of the spent charge is more effecient.
If you ask me, spark plugs, wires, proper time and a tuned carb are more important than an expensive ignition system.
BUY THE INTAKE.

so if the intake i thought either the holley street dominator idle to 7200 or... the wieand(holley aslo) stealth? idle to 6800 what do you think?? i thought about the performaer rpm but,.. it starts at 1500 rpm!! the other 2 start off idle!? so what one is best??? with the setup i have? if i could get the extra money would the proform kit be worth it at the same time i buy the intake ??? any advise???? basically i want something that can run up to 6500 for when i upgrade the cam but still run with the setup i have now. also when i floor it from a dead stop i want some tire roasting action!hehehehe??(:

I'd go with the Stealth. Only about $100 and puts you right in the rpm range you want. There's a lot of people who've said they love it. I used a performer on my old 87 but that was b/c I was selling the car and it was a little cheaper
