Make sure you get the 3" Ls1 shaft, better vibration dampning. Also it weighs 5lbs or so less then stock.

We put an aluminuim drive shaft in a buddy's cars and it pick up about 1.5 mph in the 1/8 and we did not change anything else. It pick up some et but the track was not hooking good so we could only manage 1.71 60ft

I believe it was part of the 1LE option, it was also the factory replacement for vibration problems associated with the standard driveshaft and made its way into many cars that way.

someone told me if you had the G92 option, that it came with the same driveshaft as the 1LE had... there was an RPO code that dictated that, but i can't remember the darn code, lol

interesting, 5lbs doesn't seem like it'd be to dramatic.

5lbs is a lot for rotational mass.

Spin an empty soda can. Now spin an unopened full can. Notice the difference? Good, now open and enjoy your drink!

every bit counts, plus the vibrations will go away verses stock steel crap.

I have the G92... and it came thru with the steel one too.

I went from the steel to the aluminum and noticed a huge difference in absolutely nothing. Looks good though.

I've noticed a "vibration stoping" trend in the responses. But I don't notice an excess of vibration other than that which is a result of the stiff suspension. Maybe I'm crazy...

Sometimes my stock steel driveshaft vibrates at speeds, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, it couldn't hurt get an aluminum shaft. It certainly won't HURT performance in any way.
