Air Valve Vibrating
Air Valve Vibrating
There is a black box above the right valve cover. I have been told it is called a Air valve, it sends hot air through the exhaust to finish burning the fumes.
Well it is vibrating badly. I increase the RPM, it increases the noise. It sounds really bad, The guy I talked to said it is not hurting anything but I still want to get rid of it. I can slightly push it towards the "center" of the engine and it stops vibrating. What can I do to stop this permeatly?

Neo,
You are probably talking about the A.I.R. management valve. It should have a double spool valve and a couple of vacuum lines, and possibly a solenoid.
Does it look like this?
If so, that's the A.I.R. management valve. It controls the A.I.R. pump output to the exhaust manifold, cat converter, or vents to atmosphere. If it is rattling, it is probably loose on its stamped steel mounting.
There really should be nothing inside the valve that should rattle to the point where you can hear it. It is possible that one of the A.I.R. check valves is sticking open, causing the valve spool to pulsate, but that's a remote possibility.

If tightening the mounting doesn't do it, you need to look at the check valves, but if pushing it over quiets it down, that should do it.
