replacing heads on budget

I have a 1987 IROC 355, just rebuilt. I sheered a rocker stud off, right below the threads on my stock rebuilt heads. There's a guy locally close to me that's selling a set of Sportsman II heads with under 2k miles. 200cc intake ports, 72cc chambers. I'm wondering how well these will work for my setup. This is what I have:
Holley Stealth Ram w/adjustable FPR
SLP 51006 cam (about .498/.502 lift)
stock replacement cast pistons .030 over
hedman shorty headers
3" stock catback with flowmaster muffler
less than 500 miles on everything.

Thanks for your opinions
(I can get these at a decent price, and am not currently looking at other brands because I don't have the cash to pay for a different set, however I have a set of gm heads from '71 that I just ported, but the valve guides are in questionable condition, that will be used if I don't buy these sportsman IIs)

Well those heads have 72cc Chambers, which more than likely is larger than your current heads. This would likely lower your compression ratio about .7 points. You could make up for that with thinner head gaskets, but you likely would only make up .2-.4 point.

Those intake runners might be a tad large, costing you a little lower end torque, but I am not sure.. someone else have any idea?

I myself am looking for some L98 heads, read your PMs.

Weld a pull stud to the broken piece, slightly warm the stud boss, then pull the remaining part of the broken stud. Tap for 7/16-14 and install a screwed repair stud (collarless type). If you feel good about that, replace the other 15 while you're at it.
