what cause vibration in steeringwheel when braking?
CF,
Likely it's a hard spot in a rotor or rotor warpage. Either condition is ususally caused by overheated brakes, and sometimes by defective rotor castings, but not usually.
You can have the rotors resurfaced, but the condition will return quickly if the cause is hard spots. It's almost as inexpensive to replace the rotors, since aftermarket rotors can cost as little as $30.00 each, and will solve the problem permanently.

Of course Vader is correct. I had the same problem and after I put new rotors on it stopped. While your down there, you mine as well replace your calipers. They're only $10 each, and there a snap to change.
$10???? that's it!?! I feel stupid for not changing them last november when I did the rest of the brake system. Then again, up here in Canada they're probably 20 times that price.

It varies around here. Anywhere from about 15-up. They used to be about 80 a few years ago before the prices dropped. As for 10 dollars... I dunno if I wanna make a 20 dollar bet I wont run into the car in front of me.
