gears

recently , the right rear axle broke off . I replaced it with the axles of a 1986 camaro. the part that connected to the spider gears was smaller so I had to also replace the spider gears. the spider gears on the camaro had a larger axle connectoin. what is the diffrence between the two. 1990 camaro 3.1L v6

In 89 they changed from the small axle to the large one. Other than that, they're about the same.

How did you break an axle in a 6-cylinder car?

I was driving one night while it was raining, the car lost traction (no threads on the left tire) when I went to make a right turn. the car did a couple of 360's before slamming to the sidewalk.

Bummer... I have a car right now (not my Camaro) that came to me with a bent one, probably from something about like that...
