speedmeter passing 85mph

Need help!! Someone mentioned that someone got their digital speedo to switch to kph after 85 mph then convert that speed so in was in mph not kph. Any help on getting the speedo to read past 85 is will help!!
Thanks

I'm not too sure what you are asking. My '87 GTA had a digital dash and I brought that up to 147 with no problems... well except for one, but it had nothing to do with the dash... and you could swap it from MPH to KPH with the touch of a button.

That was tim burgess, mod of the e-board. I only read there occasionally. Post there or email him and ask if he's had any success.
I have to admit, it's a helluva idea...i'd like to see how he does it just from professional curiosity. The easiest way i can think of is a series of counters. One set connected to logic to do the switch at 85mph. Another set to divide the pulses by 5/8 to convert the signal to the speedometer.

I've gotan analogue 85 mph speedo on a V6 camaro that I have. It told me once that I was doing 15mph. Funny that, it seemed muuucch faster
