Gas Gage full/emtpy fuel tank question lol

Well, my 87 iroc, 350 has been reading a full tank of gas when in fact it has none, or a little.... must this be due to a bad ground or somthing near the sending unit? any suggestions on how to fix this false reading? thQ

Sounds like a bad connection in the sending unit wire.... high resistance = full indication

Find the wire, trace it, fix the bad connection. I'd suggest starting at the tank, where the wires come out from it; right in front of the rear bumper.
