gasket sizing.

say your buildilng a 388 motor.. 350 bored .60 over to make it 4.060, correct? now... do you HAVE to have 4.060 gaskets, or could you... lets say, do 4.155 bore gaskets?

You won't get a proper seal with the smaller bore gasket. The wire ring between the gasket layers is very close to the bore perimeter, and may not get pinched to the deck over the larger bore.
