Shooting Timing

Ok I know the answer to this question is in here somewhere but I guess I'm not doing good searches. So anyone please help me out to this or what to search for. I have an 89 RS with the LO3 & I'm gonna shoot my timing. Where is that wire that I need to disconnect before shooting it. Thanks everyone.

If you follow the harness along the top of the firewall over to the passenger side just in front of the blower motor for the heater you will find a brown or tan wire popping out of that harness going to a connector & then back into the harness - that would be it. Ran across & checked out the progress on your car a while ago & it is looking good.

Hey thanks for pointing everything out for me simpleman. Literally. I think I'm gonna keep those pics for future reference if you don't mind. And thanks for taking the time to check out my Cardomain page. How's that stroker motor going for you? I was thinking about doing a 305 stroker even though alot of people oppose it. I might pm you later for more details on your setup. Laterz
