Question about installing MSD 6AL

my friend sold me his 6al, but it didn't come with the rubber shock mounts... what should i do to substitute the rubber mounts so that i can install it in my car. thanks guys

You can buy the rubber mounts from MSD. Call them and ask. Otherwise, just rig something up similiar to those shock mounts.

yeah, i was looking at the mounts online and i dont feel like paying 15$ + shipping...

instead, i think what im going to do is get 4 washers, one on each corner hole of the bottom of the msd box, and then 4 pieces of rubber under it as shock mounts... then bolt it in the engine bay. that way if the box gets hot, the rubber wont melt onto the bottom of the msd box, it'll melt to the washer, if anything.

Its not gonna get that hot dude lol....id say they barely get skin temp
