Ok so my car isnt starting...im not sure if this was just irony or what, but it wouldnt start after i tried to install a manual fan switch...i put everything back to normal....still wont start...so even though i had this code before the car wouldnt start...ive gotta start somewhere...

so ive got a code 54..."Low voltage at fuel pump OR
Low voltage at Fuel pump relay OR
Output failure at quad driver module" Would that prevent it from starting??? Where do i start at troubleshooting? Please help...need to get it started.

 

I have been there. My <92 had a code 54 for a long time, and we couldn't figure it out. It would die for no reason every once in awhile, but would run great otherwise. I had to install a new (not used) ECM. It was spendy but it cured the problem. Yours may finally given up.

 

Damn, thats really not what i wanted to hear I dont have the money to be buying a new ecm right now. Geez i really hope its not that. I guess ill keep looking for the problem...but i really hope its not the ECM...anybody know how to test if your computer is good or bad?

 

If you've got a friend with a similar engine/year try swapping their ECM with yours and see if it runs fine.
