I finally got my new 350 put in my IROC, well today the day after, I went to check the oil, but the dipstick will only go back in half way, I have to go to college in a couple of hours could i just wrap maybe something like aluminum foil around the end as a temporary, I don't know too much about cars and I definately don't want to do this on my own with out advice.

 

Hmm.. Before you took it out, was it in all the way?

If yes, then just try to rotate, wiggle, jiggle, tweak, twist, turn, wobble, and bobble that thing until it goes all the way in. Sometimes the bends in the dipstick will make it get a little stuck.

yeah it was all the way in, when i was pulling it out, i thought i heard a movement in the dipstick line, I have tried to wiggle and even angle it differently nothing works, what now.

 

nevermind, I really had to force it in there, but it went in.
