So here is the story. Car was stored winter. I took it out and was able to redline the engine. I put a new fuel hose on a new throttle springs. Now the car will rev to 4k but with the gas still down it the engine starts to rev down on its own.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Also my idle goes to 1500rpms. I can kick it down but it gets annoying.

Sounds like the choke isn't opening or staying open.

Check the thermostat power wire.
