well my question is if i mill my heads to change my compression to 9.5.1 and use a set of 1.6 rocker arms will i have a pistion to valve cleareance problem?

Only clay will tell. It really depends on what heads you have and how far you have to mill them to get the compression you want. Also how far down the cyclinder your pistons are, what type of pistons you have ect. ect. ect.....
If you have a stock lo3 then why bother with 2tenths of one point in compression.

There is no point in milling the stock heads. They are garbage and milling them won't make up for the things that make them so bad. I'll move this so you have better responses.

you don't need clay. i use soft springs and an indicator to measure clearacne with. i've never seen any thing close to a problem untill around .65 lift, but it depends on your combonation.

depends on the cam. I'd do like Ede says and use light springs (fuel pump springs work good) and then turn over the motor by hand... if anything feels like its binding STOP! that prolly means that there is a clearance problem.
The chances of it with flat top pistons and a streetable cam are very unlikely though, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

valve lift is not what gives you the headache of piston to valve clearence problems its mainly the duration of the cam used,LINGENFELTER states that L98s are safe to .600*lift as long as you dont exceed 250*duration and that is with 2.00 int. and 1.55 ex....
