eagle or scat?

comparing apples to apples- which can handle more hp/tq? for example- either of the company's 383- cast crank,i-beam forged rods, hyper pistons- which kit could handle more power? just curious they are more or less the same price. is one any better than another?

LOL

I've heard and read different. Supposedly Scat has better QC than Eagle.

This being based from what I've seen on the 2nd gen Camaro board.

I know a few guys running SCAT brand cranks in high hp BBC's with no trouble. I think guy mix up SCAT brand with CAT brand-stay away from CAT. As with any rotatiing asembly always have it checked. Our big time engine bulider says he's never dropped in Eagle stuff out of the box as it always needs tweaking of some kind.

I'm running a Scat 9000 series crank in my 383 and I put that thing through hell(8000+rpm's). I even bent a rod, actually more like twisted it into a prezel. Crank came out looking as new the day I bought it. Eagle I hear is just as good. I would take either.

My vote is for SCAT, Eagle has too many quality control problems.
Do a search on ebay and look at all the Brans New Eagle Cranks being sold cheap because they was out of round on the journals and had to be turned 10/10 on the mains. We are talking new cranks.
Just read through these Cransk on sale on Ebay:
Than buy yourself a Scat Crank
